Fairytale Florida Wedding : Jen + Ryan

It all started with a haircut....

It was a crisp fall day back in 2007 that Ryan decided on whim to get a haircut. He lived across the street from a salon, and was a regular to the spa- so he booked an appointment with a stylist based on a referral from his esthetician. He thought nothing of it- until Jen walked up front to meet him...

The first uncensored thought that came to his mind was: "WOW.... She's sexy!" :P He stole glances at her through the mirror, and felt his heart skipping beats. I mean, this girl was beautiful. Like, jaw dropping-mind numbing-speech stuttering BEAUTIFUL....

Soon after, he was seeing her on a regular basis, but her talent behind the chair wasn't the only thing that kept him coming in. After a few visits, Ryan was officially intrigued. She didn't come off as just some party girl... She loved reading, going home on the weekends to spend time with her family... you know, not the typical priorities of the average 20-something. Behind her stunning looks was a warm, caring, down to earth woman. They would chat about traveling, cooking, and how relationships should be. She was a good listener, and it impressed him that she always remembered what they spoke of the visit before. Through their love of all things Disney, Sunday Funday, and great vintage wines- they became good friends. (As they say, slow and steady wins the race.... )

At first, Jen thought Ry was - in her own words; "A little strange and goofy..." (As she shouts over her shoulder, 'love ya babe!!' :P ) He was genuinely friendly and NICE... He would bring her cupcakes, coffee, and random little things just because. She wasn't used to a man treating her with respect and kindness so it threw her off at first, but his adorably aloof nature grew on her. It was not long before they started hanging out casually- Tommy Nevin's on Sundays for football and trivia, movie nights, etc. She never considered anything romantic- Ryan was 10 years older than her and the thought simply hadn't crossed her mind.

That all changed around Christmas of 2011. Ryan was hosting a fundraiser at his home for 50-75 guests, and he was scrambling to get the place decorated in time. By that time they were very close friends, so Jen gladly offered to give him a hand. Jen explains there was kind of a grey area between getting to know each other and falling in love... but this night was pivotal. They sipped wine and laughed together, surrounded by tinsel and lights as they decorated the 14 foot tree.... She remembers looking over at him, Christmas music softly playing in the backround, and marveling at what a wonderful experience and moment they were sharing. He made her feel so important and special all the time - it was at this moment that she really realized she really loved this guy- And thus began their own fairytale...

Less than 2 months later, Ryan whisked her off on a surprise weekend getaway- only giving her an idea of what sort of weather to pack for. They ended up in sunny Florida, at Disney's Beach Club Resort- Jen was at a loss for words. To a die-hard Disney girl, a surprise like this really was a dream come true! The Beach Club Resort at Disney World was their own special place, which led to the logical next step...

They said their I Do's at Disney, in a gorgeous white wedding pavilion, the Cinderella Castle shining in the distance. Their closest friends and family looked on with tears in their eyes and joy in their hearts as Ryan and Jen sealed the deal with a kiss. During the ceremony, the expression and emotion on Ryan and Jen's faces said it all.

We are so grateful to have been able to witness your special day as friends, as well as the privilege of capturing the beauty and memories unfold. Big thanks to the amazing team at Disney and the fabulous work they do, and an extra special THANK YOU for allowing us so much time to create beautiful portraits of the two of you! Wow!! Props to Ryan for sticking it out under the blazing Florida sun- it was SO worth it! We couldn't be happier to celebrate the marriage of such amazing people, and we hope all of your dreams really do come true <3
